Uzbekistan: Construction of affordable housing

According to the decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On additional measures for the effective implementation of the program for the construction and reconstruction of affordable apartment buildings in cities for 2017-2020" of October 23, 2017, ten houses are being built in the city of Urgench in the Khorezm region along Fayazov Street.

Every family dreams about their home. However, not everyone can afford to buy or build it. Sometimes several families live in an apartment. Today, thanks to the reforms in Uzbekistan, this issue is being resolved in favor of the residents.

The developing construction industry serves to improve the standard of living of the population. Nowadays, modern and affordable housing can be purchased through preferential lending. This is especially important for young or low-income families.

At the construction site that opened in December last year along Fayazov Street, five-storey houses now rise.

As the chief engineer of “Bunyodkor” LLC, an honored builder of the Republic of Uzbekistan Tura Palvanov noted the large industrial and transport-communication facilities built in recent years, well-maintained and affordable houses are the result of economic and social reforms that are consistently implemented in the country. It is gratifying that from year to year more and more houses are being built for low-income families, residents of dilapidated houses, as well as for other categories of citizens in need of better housing conditions. In the process of construction, building materials, products and structures of predominantly domestic production are used, which ensure an increase in energy efficiency and a reduction in the cost of completed houses. Over 800 builders are involved in these works.

According to the foremen of the masons Zh. Sharipov, T. Iskandarov and M. Khudoybergenov, everything is provided in the new houses, starting with the lighting system, heating the apartments, reliable supply of drinking water with mandatory installation of modern meters to the entrance doors with a special code. Energy-efficient lamps with a motion sensor will be installed in the entrances. Apartments on the ground floors are provided for persons with disabilities. The entrance is equipped with a ramp.

As specialists of UzShakharQurilishInvest engineering company emphasize, new houses differ in that they are seismically safe, they can withstand an earthquake of 7-8 points. Also climatic conditions are included. The thickness of the walls of the apartments is more than 50 centimeters, which will help to keep heat in the houses in the winter and protect from the hot heat in the summer. For the purposes of fire safety, special central fans are installed.

In addition, quality and interior elements are distinguished – laminated floors and doors, kitchen furniture and gas stove of local production. Everything is provided by designers, up to the repair of apartments. To create additional conveniences for homeowners, houses have lines for connecting to the Internet and cable television. In other words, the residents will have fully ready-made houses.

In order to create the most comfortable conditions for residents of new buildings, recreation areas will be built on this territory, as well as children's playgrounds, 3 collection points for household waste and parking lots will be placed.

Owners of new housing will receive the keys to their comfortable homes before the main holiday of the country - the Independence Day of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
